基于DSP的语音录放、存储及传输系统

在分析PC机ISA总线结构和PnP协议规范的基础上，结合DSP芯片自身的特点，通过扩展DSP的中断和DMA功能，实现了DSP对网卡和声卡的直接操作，从而设计了一套基于DSP的高性能语音录放、存储及传输系统。     

参数音频编码算法的改进

参数音频编码是一种基于产生音频信号的参数模型的有效编码方法。最近已用于很低码率的音频编码中,如MPEG-4Version2音频标准HILN。这里提出HILN参数音频编码的改进算法。改进算法采用了自适应的基于倒谱的基频检测算法,利用倒谱和频谱特性,保证了大范围内基频提取的效率和准确性。在正弦波合成中采用相位匹配合成算法,保证了帧间参数的连续性。改进算法还对残差信号进行预处理,去除不必要的干扰分量,最大限度重建原音频信号,提高了合成音频信号的质量。     

Formal Performance Modelling and Evaluation of an Adaptive Mechanism for Packetised Audio over the Internet

A case study is presented which concerns the design of an adaptive mechanism for packetised audio for use over the Internet. During the design process, the audio mechanism was modelled with the stochastically timed process algebra EMPA and analysed via simulation by the EMPA based software tool TwoTowers in order to predict the percentage of packets that are received in time for being played out. The predicted performance figures obtained from the algebraic model illustrated in advance the adequacy of the approach adopted in the design of the audio playout delay control mechanism. Based on these performance figures, it was possible to implement and develop the complete mechanism without incurring additional costs due to the late discovery of unexpected errors or inefficiency. Performance results obtained from experiments conducted on the field confirmed the predictive simulative results. Received March 1997 / Accepted in revised form July 1998

Structuring and Querying Documents in an Audio Database Management System

The growing digitization of multimedia content must be supported by a set of tools to manipulate them, and especially to query them. This is one of the major goals of an audio DBMS. Yet, existing work related to audio documents, e.g., radio or television archives, often leave the DBMS question open. In this paper, we lay the foundations for integrating audio into a general purpose DBMS, in the form of an audio abstract data type, along with its properties and associated operators. This contribution is coupled with an unsupervised statistically-founded speaker-based partitioning technique. For each of these two aspects, the paper underlines the practical interest and some technical difficulties. Also, some query examples introduce the problem of the complexity of the querying expressions as well as of time complexity.
